Humm…
1. You can backpacking Death Valley in summer by yourself at 120 degree desert in death valley, i don’t want to die

2. best time to visit death valley is Oct to Apr, even May is kinda hot already. This year rains a lot, Death Valley got a lot wild flower display right now into spring. not really aiming for backpacking, more like a photography trip plus car camping and off roading. haha
