a few things i’ve realized about myself over the weekend:

1) i like to talk about shitting, like literally – and shit in general.
2) maybe skunks are not as “cute” as i think they are, because they seriously smell like burning crap.
3) i can totally sense the obvious – i’m not all that dense.
4) white summer cotton dresses make me look “girly”.
5) i can crank out a shit load of term papers within a relatively short amount of time.
6) even dogs are jealous of me – yes by dogs, i mean bobo… not deo, probably because he’s a boy dog and isnt gay.
7) i have the eye for hot stuff, like seriously.
8 ) i lack the skills in yelling at friends across tables at fob drink stations.
9) i CAN physically pickup mo.
10) fish soup gives me massive gas.

so i’m in class right now and nothing is happening, my professor isnt even here… well he was here but then left. someone please remind me why i’m taking these mickey mouse classes, again this quarter? california geography… gee what is there to learn… we’re the shit, enough said!  but seriously, my professor is the nicest guy, i love him just not his class.

]]> http://ourbackpackingtrips.com/2008/06/02/12-more-days/feed/ 1 you’re running through my veins, you feel like a freight train… http://ourbackpackingtrips.com/2008/05/28/you%e2%80%99re-running-through-my-veins-you-feel-like-a-freight-train/ http://ourbackpackingtrips.com/2008/05/28/you%e2%80%99re-running-through-my-veins-you-feel-like-a-freight-train/#comments Wed, 28 May 2008 16:35:05 +0000 lichin http://ourbackpackingtrips.com/?p=76 every time i come back from a backpacking trip i suffer from backcountry withdrawls. i miss being out there in the woods. as harsh as the conditions were this past weekend… i had a fucking blast. i felt so hardcore. i even slipped and fell on my ass a couple times. i cant believe i survived a snow storm in nothing but a poncho to protect me from the elements. i learned my lesson… so on monday i took advantage of the memorial day sale and bought myself a marmot precip jacket… totally on sale and totally rain and snow proof! my backpacking gear and clothes/boots were soooo dirty that i had to lay them all out on my drive way and hosed them down like a dirty dog. there is no way i’m putting my dirty ass clothes into my high tech washer like that. my freshly hosed off backpack is the cleanest its been in like 365 days! i am so proud of myself!! now i just gotta leave my sleeping bag in the sun for another day or so then i’ll be ready to repack everything again. oh, i dunno how long it’ll take my boots to dry. that thing is totally dripping wet.

i still need to hose off my trekking poles… but i left that in mo’s car. god dammit, i never forget anything. i cant believe i left those behind.

mt hood is happening in like 3 weeks, i am sooo fucking stoked. i cant wait!!!


fuck yea!!!

on june 14th, i am walking across that stage and i am not looking back! i will be freeeeeeeeeeeee!!

I HATE IT! either the aerospace company has a really shitty HR department or they found a better candidate for the position. it could also be because i told them i couldnt work full time until sometime in june… so they’re waiting until then to give me the word. well i cant sit here and wait. i hate waiting, especially for stuff like this. my bank account is running dryer by the day. so i submitted my resume for a chemical manuf in santa fe springs for another cost accountant position… PLEASE GIVE ME A FUCKING CALL!!

reasons why lichin is a good employee:

  • i am a fast worker
  • i am a fast learner
  • i dont waste time
  • i do not cause trouble or conflicts around the work place
  • i am QUIET!!! and i dont bug!!!
  • i work overtime… FOR FREE!!! hire me for full time and you get over time FOR FREEEE!!!
  • i come to work well groomed and dressed!
  • i am not a dumb ass (unless you want me to be)
  • i also sing and dance on request
  • i am a pro at excel!!! A FREGGIN PRO!! i can work with millions of cells at the speed of light!!
  • i dont have to take a lunch!!!
  • I AM NEVER LATE… ALWAYS ON TIME… ALWAYS!!!

bottom line: WILL SOMEONE PLEASE HIRE ME ALREADY?! i need the cash flow to buy more gear.

i ended up spending (another) 100-something on some north face stuff, a waterproof stuff/compression sack (for my zion narrows trip), and a sigg water bottle. so 2008 REI anniversary sale i spent roughly $250, this is so much better than what i spent last year… last year at the anniversary sale ONE trip rang up close to $700. i am such a “GearSlut”.

after spending 2 hours at REI we headed over to victoria gardens to get some jamba juice and do some browsing at the apple store and the oakley store.

then i woke up this morning with a sore throat and stuffy nose. yup… i am sick. i mean, seriously… who the fuck gets sick in may?! i better get better soon, by soon i mean FAST. i blame my sickness on this whacky weather we’ve been having, and its suppose to drizzle tomorrow?! wtf mates!??!

I voluntarily accept full responsiblity for all risks invloved, including risks inherent in all camp activities and in the HALF-PIPES, QUARTER-PIPES, FREESTYLE BUMPS/JUMPS AND OTHER CONSTRUCTED AND NATURAL FEATURES.

God, I don’t even know what the hell is some of those activities… then next 3 lines:

I understand that I may borrow certain recreational equipment from HCSC, and/or other equipment suppliers, distributors, manufactures or sponsors through HCSC or elsewhere, such equipment may include, but is not limited to, helmets, snowboards, boots, bindings and hardware, skateboards, wakeboards, bicycles and other recreational equipment…

so i dropped $2400 today. yea thats TWENTY FOUR HUNDRED… but its all for a good cause. if you remember a few months back i talked about High Cascade Summer Camp and how i’m dying to be an official HCSC camper this summer, well as of today i am. i booked my plane ticket and everything. i am good to go! i was sick of pushing back my registration and now there’s limited spots for the adult session, so today i did it. i will be shreding, hitting jumps, doing boxes, and attacking the half pipe while you suckers are suck with the “usual” summer activities.

i’m going to nail a 360 by the end of the session. i also get to meet pro boarders: hana beaman, andreas wiig, and scotty arnold… i think i’m gonna ask them to sign my panties… haha jk. if you clicked on the link you’ll notice that this isnt just a snowbording camp… there are other activities too. after a full day of shredding there’s also water rafting, wake boarding, skate boarding, mountain biking, and i dunno what else. but there are just so many things for me to do! i cant freggin’ wait! its a 9 day program with 7 days of snowboarding. SEVEN WHOLE DAYS OF SNOWBOARDING!!! its gonna be tons of fun… what a great way to start my summer!

oh yea… mo is coming with me.

this little guy is like 4 weeks old


i really really really liked this guy. he’s about the size of kala and bailey. he’s not a “toy”. he’s got really messy hair and he’s really in need of a home.


MUGEN!!! a 5 month old rottweiler. he reminds me of my mugen

how silly of that little dog. he SAT ON TOP OF ANOTHER DOG for the longest time.

when i still had mugen… i could tell he’s a happy one. kala and bailey are happy ones. you can tell by the look in their eyes. but these dogs…. these homeless dogs… *sigh* they’re so sad.

tomorrow after class i plan on stopping by the pomona shelter. i googled it and its only 2 miles away from school. so i’ll swing by and see if have any potential candidates.
