Death Valley Trip

Duration: 2 days, and 2 nights.

Friday:
5:30pm Left Mo’s home
6:30pm stopped for dinner
11:30pm arrived at Death Valley set up base camp Furnace Creek
Saturday:
5:30am wake up and leave base camp going to Sand Dune to see sun raise. 23 miles back north
8:30am finished Sand Dune, having breakfast and driving 23 miles back south pass base camp
10:00am Scenic view route stop around 20-30 mins at each view point. Bad Water -> Devil’s Golf Course -> Artist Drive -> Zabraski Point -> 20 Mule Road
1:30pm backed to base camp Furnace Creek. Got gas, eat lunch, too hot, soak war then sleep under tree shade
4:00pm packing up, leaving base camp heading to main attraction of this whole trip, Racetrack. Which requires 20 miles of off roading in vehicle, don’t want to get there so late, can’t see anything.
5:10pm Arrived at Ubeebee? Crater, started our promised 3 miles run exercise, turned out Lichin walked most of it, sick.
6:00pm Off-roading
8:00pm Arrived Racetrack backcountry camping area. It was so cool. couple off-roaders were already there. small and quiet camp ground. set up tents and started dinner, just chilled for the rest of the night
Sunday
5:30am wake up again for photography sunraise at Racetrack
7:00am sun light too flat, go back to base camp 2 having breakfast, then just chill, enjoy the last moment of the trip
10:30am too hot to chill, start packing up.
11:00am leaving base camp to see Moving rocks
11:20am shooting pictures of moving rocks at Racetrack
12:00pm leaving racetrack off road 20 miles back to civilization
2:00pm arrived Scotty’s Castle Death Valley
3:00pm going home
